Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa, a well-known philanthropist, social visionary, and statesman, the member of parliament hailing from Chitradurga district of Karnataka state founded the Shrishyla Education Trust in 2000, to achieve his great desire to provide education to the students of middle-part of Karnataka. The Shrishyla Education Trust has established several Schools and Colleges under the aegis of this trust, known as GM Group Institutions. During the year 2023 Srishyla Education Trust established “GM University” under act 19 of 2023 of the state of Karnataka, India.
The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, ensuring that its programs meet the national educational standards set by the council.
